The Williston, South Carolina, community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of David Gabriel “Gabe” Sadler, who passed away at his home on Monday, July 6, 2026, at the age of 28. His unexpected passing has left family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors grieving the loss of a young man whose life was defined by faith, love for his family, and an unwavering commitment to those around him.

Born on June 16, 1998, in Augusta, Georgia, Gabe was the beloved son of David Kevin Sadler and Amanda Mundy Sadler. Throughout his life, he earned the admiration of everyone who knew him through his genuine kindness, infectious smile, and lighthearted personality. Those closest to him remember him as someone who could brighten any room with his quick wit and warm sense of humor, leaving a lasting impression on friends and strangers alike.

Above all else, Gabe treasured his family. He was a devoted husband to Ashlee Davis Sadler and a loving father to their two daughters, Raelyn Grace Sadler and Harper Elizabeth Sadler. Family members say his greatest joy came from spending time with his girls, making memories that they will carry with them for years to come. Whether enjoying simple moments at home or celebrating life’s milestones, Gabe embraced fatherhood with enthusiasm, patience, and unconditional love.

Professionally, Gabe served as a Lab Analyst at the Savannah River Site, where he was respected by colleagues for his dedication, professionalism, and positive attitude. His coworkers remember him as dependable, hardworking, and always willing to lend a helping hand. Outside of work, Gabe was an active member of Winfield Heights Baptist Church, where his Christian faith remained a central part of his life and guided his interactions with others.

Gabe also enjoyed spending his free time pursuing hobbies that brought him happiness and allowed him to connect with family and friends. He loved golfing, fishing, and following his favorite sports teams, proudly cheering for the Atlanta Braves, Green Bay Packers, and South Carolina Gamecocks. His faithful dog, Cash, was another cherished companion who shared many of life’s everyday moments with him. These interests reflected his appreciation for life’s simple pleasures and the importance he placed on spending quality time with loved ones.

In addition to his wife and daughters, Gabe is survived by his parents, his sister Erica Sadler, brothers Ray Youngblood and Kyle Sadler, grandparents, extended family members, in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, numerous friends, and coworkers who will forever treasure the memories they shared with him. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Gordon Mundy and Lavern Sadler.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Gabe’s life during funeral services at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at the Folk Funeral Home Chapel in Williston, with Reverend Jamie Wooten officiating. Visitation will begin one hour before the service, followed by burial at Williston Cemetery.

Although Gabe Sadler’s life was tragically brief, the legacy he leaves behind is one of compassion, laughter, unwavering faith, and deep devotion to family. His passing has prompted an outpouring of condolences from across the community, with many sharing stories of his generosity, humor, and the positive impact he had on their lives.
